Maddy's Bar and Grille is the joint venture of two friends, Dale Shields and Gaynor Jablonski, who have known each other for over 20 years. Dale, a former bartender, joined with Gaynor, the owner of The Ugly Mug (visit him on 8th St.) to form Maddy's Bar and Grille. Maddy's is named after Dale's mother, Madeline Shields,who lost her battle with cancer 6 years ago. In her spirit, Maddy's will celebrate Maddy's Day every May 13th with 100% of profits going to the Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown Hospital.
